Living Edge Designs Inc. is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley town of Rhinebeck, N.Y. All work features the craftsmanship of Todd Young, a local resident, cabinet maker, and wood artisan.
We specialize in one of a kind organic based furniture design. All of our furniture is made from the wide variety of hardwoods that can be found in the Hudson Valley. We use a combination of naturally fallen trees as well as slabs from local sawmills. The shape of each raw slab dictates what kind of furniture it will be made into. Careful consideration is given to the shaping and finishing of each piece. The detail of the wood grain as well as other naturally occurring irregularities such as crevices and wormholes all add to the beauty of each piece. This attention to detail combined with the strength of our mortise and tenon joinery result is a unique, functional and durable work of art.
Living Edge Designs also crafts custom projects such as live edge slab counter tops, natural edge serving boards, shelving, and bedroom and bath furniture.
