Elizabeth St. Leger, a Hudson Valley Artist, has been painting for over 25 years. Her work is inspired by the beauty of the Hudson Valley, love of romantic landscapes, and her travels through the United States and Europe.
She holds a Masters in Art in Printmaking and Bachelors in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz, has studied at the College of Arts and Crafts of California, the Barrett Art Center and the Garrison Art Center and has been a student of Keith Gunderson and Carolyn Hutchings Edlund.
Elizabeth has recently retired from teaching Art in the public education after 20 years. She has been involved with creating art for public projects in Hudson, New York including work with “Art for Animals” a non profit organization dedicated to aiding distressed animals and also with the “Walkway OVer the Hudson” quadricentennial celebration on the Poughkeepsie/Highland Rail Road Bridge, chosen to create the Celebration Emblem representing the Town of Milan and most recently “Leaf a Legacy” for Abilities First Inc. “Art Along the Hudson” and “Art Studio Views”
Elizabeth has won awards and has been exhibited and sold throughout the area. Her work can be found in Private collections in the New England, California, Texas and Florida and seen at Briggs Mountain Gallery in Red Hook, NY and St.Leger’s Riverview Art Gallery on line.
